I know three Matilda's. One goes by Maddie, one Mattie and the other Tilda. So seeing as a I know one, in my opinion it's fine.
I think it works fine. Mattie is a more common nickname, but I actually prefer Maddy. :]
yeah, it's a great nickname. you could also use Mattie or Matty. they sound similar to Maddy but use the t from Matilda.
