I do not want to purchase a metro card. can i use cents instead. IS it permitted? how do i go about it?
You can use pocket change (no pennies or dollar bill please) to board the bus in new York City. however, a MetroCard is better, because of two things.
1. you can board the bus faster.
2. you get an automatic transfer to the next bus or subway.
